Nilo 8 is a classic cotton with a twist to the left, not too closed, that gives it a perlè look and makes it soft and silky to the touch. It is recommended for borders, garments and accessories worked with the expert techniques of handwork. The yarn is 3-ply in all four versions. What differentiates them is the thickness of the base cotton used.

Mako cotton is a production of cotton yarn of Upper Egypt having a fibre length from 30 to 34 mm. It is used to produce top quality cotton yarns or fabrics. The plants were imported to Egypt from Ethiopia. Today Egypt is the major producer of the very fine Mako Cotton.
